‘From different countries, but with one feeling between them, their first look at the ceremony, and one ‘yes’ meant for them both.’
This day was full of tears of happiness, aesthetics in every detail, lacework in white colour, and pure fun during the celebration.
Since Kristina and Rene had their celebration and the full-day timeline at Q Hotel Plus Wrocław Bielany, they picked a 12-hour package with 1 photographer. Serhii, one of our SL Wedding team, was covering their Big Day from 12.30 to 00.30.
In this review, we’ll share all the details of what the 08.08.2026 day was like from one photographer’s perspective. You’ll find examples of photos during all day elements, from preparations through the ceremony, cake, first dance, sparkles, and party time.

Engagement Photoshoot Beforehand

In June, we met the couple for a lovestory engagement session in Wrocław. Around 1.5 hours of walking through the city allowed us not only to create these special photographs, but also to get to know Kristina and Rene better. Thanks to this, they could feel much more comfortable in front of the camera on their wedding day.
The Beginning of the Wedding Day: Bride & Groom Preparations
The couple chose to get ready separately because they wanted their first look to happen only during the ceremony. I started in the bride’s room, where I spent around 30 minutes, then went to Rene, and later returned to Kristina to photograph her already in her wedding dress.
Art of Bridal Morning

Since Kristina was involved in dance, I chose her ballet pointe shoes, flowers, and wedding rings for the detail photos. I especially wanted to capture the engraving with a quote inside the rings.

We started the preparations with a few general details: the final touches to her makeup, tying her pointe shoes, and a few more posed portraits of Kristina with a glass of champagne. This helped her relax a little and allowed us to create some more dynamic, energetic shots.

Then Kristina’s mother and sister joined her, both wearing pink robes that matched the pastel dress code. We took a few more emotional and natural photos together.

After that, I took some softer and more delicate portraits of the bride.

I then photographed a few more shots of Kristina in her robe, holding her handwritten vow, and the process of putting on the wedding dress began. At this point, I try not to interfere and focus on capturing everything in a natural, documentary way. Sometimes I simply ask her to pause for a moment so that I can photograph a particular detail.

Finally, once Kristina was fully dressed, we repeated the shot with her handwritten vow and took a few more portraits, both more silhouette-focused images and detail shots, including her lace gloves.
Groom’s Preparations

The groom’s preparations took a little less time. While Kristina was putting on her dress, I went to Rene so I could use that time efficiently and then return to Kristina for the final stages of getting dressed and fastening the dress.
In about 10 minutes, I took both closer portraits of Rene and some wider shots. Later, he walked through the hotel corridor with his best man, which allowed us to create more natural photos with movement.
Wedding Hall Decoration Photos

The wedding reception hall at Q Hotel Plus Wrocław Bielany was decorated in a white colour palette. Before the ceremony, I had around 10 minutes to photograph the fully prepared, empty room and all of its key details.

I also took a few photographs of the ceremony area before the ceremony began.
First Look During the Emotional Ceremony

The couple did not see each other before the ceremony and planned everything so that the guests would already be seated, with Rene waiting for Kristina at the setup for an outdoor wedding ceremony.

Then Kristina’s father walked her in, and her entrance won everyone over. There were first tears of emotion, followed by a burst of joy and energy that Kristina shared with everyone around her.

When Kristina and Rene saw each other for the first time, they were also able to read their handwritten vows to each other. So there were plenty of both laughter and happy tears.

The couple then exchanged their rings, followed by their first kiss as husband and wife.

And, of course, there was plenty of joy that quickly spread among all the guests.

After the ceremony, it was time for congratulations. We agreed with the couple that I would first photograph them in a documentary style, and then, once each guest (or a group, such as a family) had given their congratulations, we would take a group photo with them as a keepsake.
Bride’s Letters for Guests

Before taking their seats at the tables, all the guests had the opportunity to read handwritten letters from the bride. It was a very emotional moment that brought a lot of joy to everyone.
Photoshoot for the Couple

As a wedding photographer at Q Hotel Plus Wrocław Bielany, I spent around 20 minutes on an individual photo session with the newlyweds.
We started with wider shots, gradually moving from top to bottom around the hotel entrance. As far as I know, it is also possible to arrange for a red carpet to be laid out upon request (during the wedding of another couple we photographed here in August 2024, there was one prepared at the entrance).
Next, we moved to the elevator, where we created a few fashion-inspired shots that look particularly striking in black and white.

We then moved to the ceremony area, where we created some calmer, more classic posed portraits.

After that, I took a few individual portraits of the bride. From my experience, brides often want to spend a little more time posing, while the groom can take a short break during this part of the session.
Thrilling First Dance & Party Time

The couple’s first dance at Q Hotel Plus Wrocław Bielany took place after the photo session. The flower petals thrown by the guests looked especially striking during this moment.

Afterwards, everyone was invited onto the dance floor, and the real party began.
Time to Celebrate
The evening was all about having fun. Games led by the MC, a game of foosball, fun photos with the guests, an emotional father-daughter dance, and stylish sunset portraits all added variety to the gallery.
Reportage During Wedding Reception Games

The couple chose their DJ and planned a programme with plenty of games and activities. This gave the guests lots of opportunities to have fun, while allowing me to capture more emotional and unexpected moments.
Fashion Portraits with Guests

Later, near the ceremony area, we took some photos on the grass, including fun shots with paper umbrellas as well as more fashion-inspired portraits using flash.
Sunset Bride Portraits

When the bride stood in a spot with the beautiful sunset light falling on her, I immediately knew I wanted to create a few portraits like this.
Father-Daughter Dance

Later, Kristina danced with her father, which gave us some particularly emotional photographs.
A Kiss Game

After that, the DJ led another game where the guests had to kiss, with the moments being displayed on a screen. This added even more variety and memorable moments to Kristina and Rene’s wedding gallery.
Cake with a Personalized Miniature

The cake was served with sparkler fountains, while a miniature figurine of Kristina and Rene stood on top. Combined with the colourful DJ lights, it created a fantastic backdrop for photographs of the newlyweds.
The evening then returned to plenty of fun. Dancing, more games, and finally the traditional wedding celebrations.
More Dancing, Fun & Traditional Wedding Celebrations
The evening then returned to plenty of fun. Dancing, more games, and finally the traditional wedding celebrations.
Energetic Dancing

The dancing never stopped, while the colourful DJ lights created an almost club-like effect in the photographs and added an amazing atmosphere to the evening.
Non-Stop Fun

The games continued throughout the evening, getting the guests involved and encouraging them to take part, while also giving me plenty of opportunities to create diverse wedding photographs at Q Hotel Plus Wrocław Bielany.
Wedding Traditions

When it came to the traditions, the bride decided to replace the classic bouquet toss with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It was an original alternative that also created a very photogenic moment.
A Striking End to the Day with Sparklers

At the end of the evening, the guests lined up with sparklers, while the newlyweds stood in the middle. There were plenty of spontaneous interactions, including kisses and the guests lifting the bride into the air.
This gave me the opportunity to create some striking final photographs, from wider shots showing the atmosphere of the whole scene to more intimate, atmospheric portraits of the newlyweds at Q Hotel Plus Wrocław Bielany.
