Before your Big Day, make sure to discuss all the rules and Catholic church wedding photography requirements with the priest. Telling him about the presence of a photographer is a plus. If there are certain aspects like prohibition to take photos during a specific moment, take it into account and inform the vendors.

What to Discuss with Your Wedding Photographer

• Timing: Tell the specialist the exact time when the ceremony begins and plan your day so that you can come at least 15 minutes beforehand, minding the traffic jam too.
• Address: This may seem obvious, but it’s essential to share the address and check whether it’s written correctly in your contract.
• The entrance: It’s worth discussing how you plan the entrance, since some brides prefer coming with their father, while others want to go together with the groom.
• Preferences: If you have certain inspiration images, share them with your photographer. For example, our couple 2026 showed us several references and asked the priest for up to 10 minutes after the ceremony in the empty church to get these masterpieces

• Priest requirements: Share any information your priest gives regarding photos, especially when he mentions certain restrictions.
• Guest photos: If there are guests who come only to the church and won’t go to the wedding hall, you may want photos with them next to the church. Also, if you want to have a group photo next to the church, tell your photographer about this and add this to the timeline to ensure the guests won’t leave before this.

Important: When you have preparations before the church ceremony, it’s reasonable to let the photographer leave for the church earlier to ensure the vendor will come earlier to find a parking spot and prepare the gear.

Who Will Bring the Rings

Very often, our couples prefer the children to bring the rings, including nephews, nieces, sisters, brothers, or their own kids.

Though we don’t see it often, some couples also invite their dog for this. Yet, this may be stressful for the pet, especially when there are lots of guests, so you should consider your dog’s behaviour and preferences.

Grand Exit

You may think of an additional attraction during your exit. For example, the guests can throw the petals.

From our experience, the groom’s profession can sometimes inspire a unique and memorable exit. For example, when the groom was a firefighter, the couple made their exit with firefighters holding their axes, a fire truck, and plenty of confetti.

• Tell your priest about the photographer: If you have a single vendor or a team, such as a photography duo, filmmakers, and content makers, it’s reasonable to tell the priest about this beforehand.

• Have a slow entrance: Remember walking slowly to enjoy every moment and get relaxed photos with an authentic atmosphere.
